Face Off is a sculptural work that directly challenges the taboo of ageing as a woman.  An iron sits on a plinth, with a printed image of my face appearing to melt away from the surface and spill onto the floor. The iron, an everyday domestic object associated with smoothing, pressing, and maintaining appearances, becomes an instrument of transformation.
